Camellia El-Antably and Mark Vinich purchased there 1880 cir. building with intent of repurposing it as an art studio and gallery. Kelly Buchanan served as the project manager and designer, together with Ken Tobin as principal in charge for this challenging renovation. The building presented the owners and design team will numerous challenges, including asbestos containing materials that were abated; utilities passing through the building and into the neighboring building; and structural deficiencies, to list a few. The building also revealed surprises once the initial demolition was complete. Original gas light piping was found in place above the original ceiling, as well as a roof sheathing board that was once sign for a local Chinese laundry.
Our team of designers, and our contractor, J.L. Everett Construction, have delivered to the owners a renovated, sound facility exceeding the expectations of the artists.
The gallery is located at 1513 Carey Avenue in downtown Cheyenne. Please stop in and visit with Camellia and Mark or visit the gallery's Facebook page .
